里の小屋
里山から資源を得てくらしを営んできた山村集落には、その土地の風土や生業に根ざした付属屋がつくられました。小屋が生活を支え、里の風景をつくってきました。
In mountain villages, humans rely on resources from the nearby satoyama, or the area between the village and the surrounding mountains. Village residents built various kinds of attached huts that were adapted to this environment and were necessary for sustaining their livelihood.

宇治茶の生産地として知られる京都府相楽郡和束町には茶畑とともに多くの茶工場が現存します。茶工場やそれらが織り成す集落景観には，伝統製法から機械化の進展による製茶業の変遷がよく表れています。
